Rev. Carl J. Fischer, Jr.
Carl J. Fischer, Jr., son of Carl and Joanne Fischer, was born on April 9, 1957 in Bethlehem, PA, and lived in Wilson Borough for most of his youth. At age 14, he believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Carl's call to the Christian ministry began at Pennsylvania State University in the fall of 1975. In 1976 he transferred to Lancaster Bible College where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bible. After graduating from Lancaster Bible College, Carl married Julie Long and then attended and graduated from Biblical Theological Seminary, Hatfield, PA. While attending seminary, Carl served four and one half years as the Assistant Pastor of Bethel Memorial Baptist Church in Palmer Township, PA, where he was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in May of 1986. He then served four and a half years as the Assistant and then Associate Pastor of Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Nazareth, PA. In January of 1992 Trinity Bible Fellowship Church in Blandon, PA called him to be their Senior Pastor where he served for 15 years. At the end of April 2007 he returned to Nazareth to serve the Lord as the Senior Pastor of Grace Bible Fellowship Church. Carl and Julie have three sons: Joshua, 24, served in the Army National Guard and is a senior at Kutztown University; Jeremy, 22, is a junior at Lancaster Bible College; and Josiah, 18, will be a freshman at Widener University this fall. |
